See these amazing creatures in person at the Three Sisters Springs Visitor Center. For the best experience, visit on a cold day and during high tide. We visited in late January when the center first opened. It was an incredible sight to see the Manatees layered in the springs!

- We parked at the center and took the shuttle to the springs. The four of us included adults ages 55-85. We arrived as they were unlocking the doors.
- For the best Manatee Views plan your visit in the winter on a cold clear day during high tide. We saw to many Manatees to count and they were in layers in the springs.

Need to Know INFO:
- The springs, regardless of the time of year, are always stunning. The best times for manatee viewing are during cold fronts and high tides from November 15th to March 31st. Consider visiting the springs in the early morning and during the middle of the week. Local springs will be less crowded on weekdays and the manatees are most active and playful in the mornings.

    - Admission ranges from $7.50 – $20.00
- Shuttle service departs from the Three Sisters Springs Center and operates continuously from 08:30am-16:30pm to the boardwalk at Three Sisters Springs. Note – This saved us a lot of walking on a cool morning. Additional stops are made at USFWS Visitor Center & gift store,
USFWS Crystal River Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center & gift store.
- This is a must see spot with life size manatee mother and calf. Opportunities abound for learning about manatees (even their sounds) and shopping for the perfect item to memorialize your trip.
- As of 11/06/2025 the Visitor Center and Nature Store hours 9:00 to 4:00 daily from November 15 to March 31 and 10:00 to 4:00 M-F from April 1 to November 14
