It’s a place for nesting not a…
Bird House because birds don’t live there! Birds use it for raising the brood, including incubation, nestling, and fledgling.
Size does matter! At least when it comes to the Nest Boxes style and entry. That is entry door hole. An opening that is too big attracts unwanted guests. The worst kind leave their egg for the residents to raise. Science shows certain birds like specific entry sizes.
No perches, we don’t install handles for predators.
Our boxes have identification information branded to the side so anyone can identify the residents. Images include the birds perched, flying and egg description. A QR code for easily reaching our Bird Resources page is on the box and the provided nest box card. (Sample here)
This is what happens when you combine a wood craftsman and a science teacher.
